Superintendent's Message
July 15, 2022
OJUSD Parents:
On behalf of the Oakdale Joint Unified School District, I am pleased to welcome our families to the 2022- 2023 school year. I hope you had an enjoyable, relaxing, and safe summer break. As I have stated previously, I am honored to be serving as Superintendent for the Oakdale Joint Unified School District.
As you may know, the first day of school starting is Thursday, August 4, 2022. See your school’s website for the specific schedule. If you have questions about transportation routes, please email mustangmovers@ojusd.org or call (209) 847-7003.
The safety of our schools continues to be a priority. We will continue to review our procedures to maintain that safety, add more training related to crisis management, and continue our practice on all of our safety drills when we return. Together we will continue to ensure that the highest safety standards are in place for everyone on campus.
This year, the District has funded and staffed socio-emotional learning (SEL) to assist our students at the elementary level with the program called Step-Up. We have refined our ELA and math intervention programs and introduced an intervention program at the junior high. The intervention program will assist with learning loss that may have occurred over time. For additional information, please view our schools’ websites.
I am confident that we as a school district and as a community can have a positive, exciting, and fulfilling year. I wish everyone a great first day of school.
Sincerely,
Dave Kline
Superintendent
