State & Federal Programs

Welcome to State & Federal Programs

State and federal programs are a major component of district and site services. Every state and federal program comes with its own program intent, rules, regulations, and exemplary practices. School agencies receive varying amounts of state and federal funds depending on district characteristics, the programs they choose to operate, and the proportion of the state's students they serve.

Programs in the Oakdale Joint Unified School District consist of English Learner Programs, Gifted and Talented Education, Character Education and Prevention Programs, Title I, and Migrant Education. These special programs receive state and federal funds specifically intended to support these “categories” of programs. The Director of State and Federal Programs works with Advisory Committees in each area to conduct needs analyses, develop action plans to address those needs, and then oversee the implementation of those action plans.
